Your money has helped to fund...

  • The charity's ongoing research work into breast cancer secondary spread
  • Three more scientists for research

Against Breast Cancer does not receive any government funding, and relies solely on individuals, companies and trusts to fund research, that's why events like Drink Pink are so important.

Worth drinking to?

Research shows that one in nine women in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. Against Breast Cancer manages research work into breast cancer secondary spread, aiming to increase survival after treatment through research into diet and lifestyle.

How you can help!

In short you need to enjoy a Pink Drink. We have a fantastic line up of pink drinks and Ember Inns will donate 5p to Against Breast Cancer for every one sold throughout the campaign, aiming to raise a record £50,000!!

This year our selection of pink pours include:

  • A glass of rose wine, with Montana and Jacobs Creek wines taking centre stage
  • A pint of Lily the Pink, a cask ale specifically designed for the campaign by the Wadworth brewery
  • A glass of Tickled Pink, a long drink made with Martini Rosato and Pomegranate juice
  • A glass of Lady Penelope, a non alcoholic mocktail combining Apple & Raspberry J20 and soda
  • A bottle of Pink Jacques Fruits des Bois cider with Raspberry, Blackcurrant and Cherry

Party in pink

You'll also be able to show your support for the campaign by visiting your local Ember for a Pink Party over the late May bank holiday weekend. At the party you'll have the chance to win a selection of luxury prizes through the Pink Ticket raffle. Find out more on our news pages.

Quotes from Against Breast Cancer Ambassadors

Julie Cowell

Against Breast Cancer is working to find ways that will detect cancer much sooner. The earlier it is detected, the earlier it can be treated, giving women a much better survival rate.

I'm sure you will agree with me that a vaccination against breast cancer would be absolutely fantastic! With the help of people like Anthony Leathem and his wonderful research team, I believe that one day it will become a reality.

Ben Shephard

There is not one person in this country that hasn't been touched by this horrible disease. Anything that can be done to better understand it and hopefully better equip us to cope with it and even eradicate it has to be supported. We aren't as well known as the larger breast cancer charities so getting our name out into the wider public through this type of campaign is really helpful.

Thank you so much for supporting ABC, we are a very small but incredibly important charity. The effort and money you make will allow us to carry on our research, and enable us to make stride towards our ultimate goal of developing a cure for breast cancer.

Lucy Rusedski

I support Against Breast Cancer because it is a charity working hard to discover the vaccine to fight against breast cancer. I have a daughter and would like to think that one day she can be given a vaccine that will prevent breast cancer becoming a threat to her and many other young girls lives.

I would personally like to thank Ember Inns for getting involved with this campaign and for supporting the indispensable work of this charity which seeks to safeguard the health of all women in the community.

Duncan Bannatyne

The money you help raise is going to help the charity enormously and will allow them to continue to fund the research that we hope is going to help put an end to the disease and help more women survive.

All that you do to help the campaign is going to be greatly appreciated by Against Breast Cancer and will allow them to continue the great work they are doing - enjoy the campaign, have fun with it, and thank you!
